The Center for Indigenous families in Turrialba is part of an international  Action Program in Costa Rica. The center provides a safe, comfortable place for Cabecar families, who must journey long hours on foot to have access to medical care and special education when needed. Additionally, the Center provides health education through workshops as well as resources and legal advice for the Cabecar families. 

 

Mission

Increase in the overall health of Cabecar families and lower infant and maternal mortality rates.

Supervision

The President of the Asociation, Isaura Cordero, Executive Director will be your supervisor. She will be available for your questions and weekly evaluations. She has a degree in Psychology and also has a Doula certificate. She speaks very little English.

 

Requierements

Spanish level A2 (min), independent worker, much initiatives, resistent to social injustice.
